The 35mm film work Stroke uses footage of a paralyzed hand that, with effort, can be reanimated by cranking a vintage projector. Pre-cinema apparatus and texts found at The Bill Douglas Cinema Museum was inspiration for exploring embodied spectatorship, transitional phenomena and the threshold between stillness and movement.
